After the break, you may get to pick a group. Do not just pick the ball that is easiest to shoot now.

Look at the whole table

Count the balls in each group that are open and easy. Then look for balls stuck in clusters.

Pick the group with fewer problems

The group with fewer clusters is often the better choice, even if the first shot is harder.
